Welcome to Church Mews Guest House
Church Mews is a Mid-Tudor galleried townhouse and one of Andover’s oldest private dwellings.
Standing at the head of the medieval Upper High Street, with a variety of eateries and a Bohemian feel, the property combines a wealth of historic features with warm and comfortable modern living.
From the 1800s the property was used by the Page family for the display of their stone masonry business, and it is for this that most Andoverians remember the house.
Following an extensive three-year renovation and refurbishment, this Grade II listed building was opened as Church Mews Guest House in 2004.
The 3 principal rooms, all in the older part of the house, date from around 1550 and provide a wealth of character, with exposed oak beamed ceilings and original crook frame wall timbers.
The current dining room, which for over a hundred years was the display space for the monumental masonry produced on site, has the original Victorian shop window on the side of the house.
Full English breakfast is included in the room rate, with other options available, including vegetarian.
The dinning room can be used for guests to relax in the evening, we invite guests to use our crockery and cutlery to enjoy a meal, a microwave is also available in this room, relax, eat, play games or read.
Church Mews is a family home as well as a Guest House, and we strive to make our guests feel comfortable, safe and relaxed – home away from home.
The owner or manager guarantees a warm and personal welcome.
With local knowledge of where to go and what to do, we will endeavor to make your stay in Andover and the Test Valley as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, whether working, on a mini-break or extended holiday.
